The Clinic

Dr Hocking and his largely Japanese staff are focused on providing the best and most appropriate dental care in a comfortable and safe environment.

Dr Hocking’s practice is referral based, and he strives to work in a collaborative way with his dental and medical colleagues to ensure that patients who are referred in for care receive the best and most appropriate treatment for their individual circumstances.

He enjoys talking to colleagues about cases they are treating and offering a second opinion when asked. The majority of his clinical time is spent carrying out the treatment planning and the surgical aspect of the case so the referring restorative dentist can focus on what he or she enjoys doing most: providing predictable, ideal implant supported restorations.

Waiting time for an appointment

The normal waiting time for a consultation is 2 to 3 weeks, and treatment may proceed within another 2 to 3 weeks from the initial visit.

Once treatment has started, patients are welcome to contact the office with any questions or concerns at any time. Dr Hocking will do his utmost to respond personally by the end of that day.

All patients who have had a surgical procedure are contacted the following day to make sure everything is okay and they are comfortable.

Affordable services

Treatment costs are often a concern with complex restorative dentistry. Patients are always given a careful written estimate at the time of consultation, which includes any relevant item numbers for private insurance rebate claims. When both implant and restorative care is being provided, treatment fees are separated into initial surgical fees, and then restorative fees four months later. This gives patients time to plan their finances better instead of having one large upfront fee.

Payment Plans

Payment plans can be arranged on a case-by-case basis for patients of record, and referral patients. No interest is charged even when payment plans spread out over several months.
