Our Dentist

Dr Hocking has spent many years involved in post-graduate education, both Australia and the UK (Eastman Institute, London), gaining two separate Masters Degrees in clinical dentistry. He is very experienced in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant-supported dentistry so as to be competent to provide the most appropriate dental solutions for all his patients, often collaborating with his referring dentists by providing the surgical aspect of the treatment plan.

Dr Nicholas Hocking with CameraDr Hocking spends most of his clinical life in his largely referral-based practice in Macquarie Street, Sydney. Dr Hocking strives to work in a collaborative way with his dental and medical colleagues to ensure that patients who are referred in for care receive the best and most appropriate treatment for their individual circumstances. He enjoys talking to colleagues about cases they are treating and offering a second opinion when required. The majority of his clinical time is spent carrying out the treatment planning and the surgical aspect of the case so the referring restorative dentist can focus on what he or she enjoys doing most: providing predictable, ideal implant-supported restorations.

Dr Hocking is passionate about mentoring and regularly runs small mentor group meetings with his referring dentists on various topics appropriate to their clinical development, in particular helping them with their more complex cases.
